Shrimp, scallops, cod, halibut… wooden displays featuring Seafood Canada abound in seafood products. Crustaceans, molluscs and fish are vacuum-packed to preserve their freshness. Since they are sold frozen, they can easily be kept in the freezer until they are used.
Shrimp, scallops, cod and halibut are portioned and frozen before leaving the Gaspésie, the North Shore and the Magdalen Islands. The food is shipped to a packaging plant in Drummondville or to warehouses in Montreal.
